everything is borrowed time
you are the mother
you are the compass
you are the skin of my own face
fish eggs and bat’s wings
condor sperm and the tongues of
myotonic goats life red honeycomb
semi-clear ruby gelatin like warm gold
it took until the final line
before i used the word love
